The Department of Mathematics at the University of Utah has Postdoctoral Assistant Professorships available for the academic year 2005-2006. These positions are supported by an NSF VIGRE grant and the University of Utah. Those United States citizens, nationals, or permanent residents having received or who will receive a Ph.D. in Mathematics or related field during the years 2004 or 2005 are eligible to apply. The positions are renewable for up to three years. The successful applicant will receive a salary of at least $42,000 plus a summer salary supplement (during years one and two of the appointment). Travel and supply allowances will also be provided during each year. VIGRE assistant professors are expected to teach one course per semester and be involved in the department's VIGRE programs.
